Biography

Aparajita Dey’s basic specialization is in the field of cytochrome P450 biology and toxicology. She received her PhD degree from Industrial Toxicology Research Centre, India and Banaras Hindu University, India. She pursued her postdoctoral studies in Medical College of Georgia, USA and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA. She has contributed to 22 publications which include research articles, book chapters and reviews. Her current research interests involve studying the synergistic hepatotoxicity due to chronic alcoholism and hyperglycemia.

Research Interest

Studying the mechanisms for alcohol induced liver injury, hyperglycemia mediated liver dysfunction and the synergistic toxicity due to alcohol plus high glucose in causing liver injury using in vitro and in vivo models.
