Ashraf El-Bindary is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry (H-Index: 18). He received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Mansoura University in 1980 and his M.Sc. degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1985 from Mansoura University. He got the Ph.D. degree from Mansoura University under the Channel system between Egypt and Norway (under supervision of Prof. Peter Klaeboe, Oslo University, Norway). After his Ph.D. he worked in Damietta University, Egypt from 1990 till now. He transfer to work in King Khaled University, KSA from 2002 till 2010. He has been chairman of the Chemsitry Department, Faculty of Science, Damietta University from 2011 to 2014. Dr Ashraf has authored over 125 peer reviewed research articles and book chapter and several projects. He and his coworkers work in the field of Inorganic chemistry and its applications.

Research Interest

Our group works in the field of inorganic chemistry and polymer science. Preparation and characterization of some organic compounds containing donor atoms (N, O and S) using different spectroscopic techniques. Separation the solid complexes of the organic ligands using transition metal ions and make characterization for the structures using different spectroscopic techniques. Studying the dissociation constants of the organic compounds and their metal-ligand stability constants by potentiometric techniques at different temperatures to determine the corresponding thermodynamic parameters. Adsorption and thermodynamic studies of hazardous azo dyes from aqueous solution onto low cost materials.
