Cassandra E Henderson

Biography

Cassandra E. Henderson received a BA from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and a Medical Degree(MD) from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago  and a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is an Associate Professor o f Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a practicing Certified Diabetic educator in New York City. By gubernatorial appointment Dr. Henderson is an active fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, and the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr Henderson serves as an appointed member of several advisory committees to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

 

Research Interest

Diabetes in pregnancy and the development of improved educational tools for individuals with diabetes is the primary focus.
