Biography

June 2013-Today Researcher at University of Salento 2007-2008 Visiting researcher in the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences University of Brighton with supervisor Prof M. Santin, to acquire a new technique for the synthesis of chitosan based nanoparticles for the detection of DNA. In this activity, she learnt the theorical and practical aspects of DNA separation, analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry and HPLC, cell culture methods, microscopy methods (light microscopy, epifluorescence microscopy, scanning electron microscopy) and biochemical assays. 2005-2008 PhD in Chemical Material Engineering at the Department of Innovation for Engineering of University of Salento. The subject of her research was the synthesis of hydrogels for t h e application i n t h e biomedical field. Coordinator and tutor of project were Prof. G. Vasapollo and Prof. A. Sannino, respectively.

Research Interest

Biomaterials Polymer and composite for biomedical application. Properties and processing of polymers and composites and nanostructures. Hydrogels and biodegradable polymers. Functional biomaterials for regenerative medicine.
