Dr. Warlick completed his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota in 2001. He completed residency training in urology at the Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in 2006. He served as an Instructor in Urology at Johns Hopkins briefly before joining the faculty at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor in Urology in 2007. Dr. Warlick’s clinical practice is focused on urologic oncology with an emphasis in prostate cancer. He has an active research program which focuses on active surveillance for low-risk prostate cancer and the use of MRI in the management of prostate cancer.
Research focuses on Imaging in Active Surveillance for low-risk prostate cancer and novel imaging strategies for prostate cancer.Construction and testing in vitro and in vivo of adenoviral vectors for molecular imaging of prostate cancer in mouse models.Gene transfer/therapy for the in vivo selection of gene-modified cells in the liver and hematopoietic systems.Human genome mapping.
