Cintia Fridman, PhD in Human Genetics by University of São Paulo. My formation was 1991 B.Sc., University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Biology; 1995 M.Sc., University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Genetics; 1999 Ph.D., University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Genetics. Since 2003 I am Associate Professor at Department of Legal Medicine, Medicine School, University of São Paulo, Brazil. My primary specialty was with genetic of Prader-Willi and Angelman syndromes, and nowadays my work is focused on forensic genetics with emphasis on mitochondrial DNA, lineage markers, human identification, DNA phenotyping and ancestry of Brazilian population.
