Filippo Familiari is a Third Year resident in Orthopaedics at the “Magna Græcia” University of Catanzaro (Italy). He has graduated from the same University in 2011. He also completed a 18-month clinical observership and research fellowship in the Division of Shoulder Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland, USA). His areas of scientific and clinical expertise include joint replacement surgery, sports medicine, and shoulder surgery (open and arthroscopic). He is serving as an editorial member of the International Journal of Orthopaedics and as a reviewer for: JSES; JOSR; Bone and Joint Research; European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology; Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery; Indian Journal of Orthopaedics; The Journal of Sport Rehabilitation; Musculoskeletal Surgery; Arthroscopy; BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders; KSSTA; and JORT. He has authored 16 research articles on peer-reviewed journals and he is a member of numerous professional organizations such as, SIOT, AISOT, SPIGC, and SIGASCOT.
