Biography

Georgios Efstathiou belongs to the Special Teaching Staff of the Department of Nursing, Cyprus University of Technology. He has a considerable professional experience in various disciplines, and has been trained on the management and treatment of burns. Since 2008, he has been teaching Fundamentals of Nursing, both in theory and as a laboratory instructor, to undergraduate nursing students of the Cyprus University of Technology. He has published at national and international journals, and has made presentations at national and international conferences.

Research Interest

Georgios Efstathiou research interests focus on the prevention of health-care acquired infections, occupational exposure to pathogens (prevention and detection), the concept of nursing care, patient satisfaction, instrument development and ethics.
