In my laboratory has been focused on the biology and pathology of glial cells and the interaction of oligodendroglial-vascular cells in the CNS using a combination of genetic, molecular, cellular and proteomic approaches applied to both in vitro and in vivo models. I have solid background, expertise and capability to conduct research in the field of glial biology and diseases. I was previously trained in molecular and cellular biology and proteomics during my PhD study and in neurobiology and neuroimmunology during my postdoctoral study. I have completed two fellowship grants (Shriners Hospitals for Children, California Institute for Regenerative Medicine) in glial biology/pathology and stem cells, and have two research grants funded by Shriners Hospitals for children.
