Haitao Guo received his PhD in molecular virology/cell biology from Institute of Biophysics, Chinses Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Since joining Dr. Lishan Su’s group at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010, I have been studying the virologic and immunologic mechanisms of HIV pathogenesis in both in vitro and in vivo models. Under the joint supervision of Dr. Lishan Su and Dr. Jenny Ting, I have focused on elucidating the mechanisms of HIV-induced inflammation in myeloid cells and in humnized mouse models.
