Dr. Haluk Akin acquired his MD degree at the University of Istanbul Cerahpasa Medical Faculty, Turkey. He obtained his Speciality in Medical Genetics in 1996 by the thesis on “The evaluation of the congenital malformation incidence in the children of the women who received ovulation induction”. He has worked in Medical Biology and Genetics Department as an Assistant Professor Doctor for 7 years. He is working in his last position in Medical Genetics Department of Ege University Medical Faculty since 2004. He has supervised four postgraduate thesis. He routinely works on clinical cytogenetics, prenatal diagnosis, genetic counseling besides different ongoing projects and education.
