Hao Li

Biography

Dr. Hao Li achieved his Ph.D at the Division of Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology, University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of the best Rheumatology programs in US. The focus of his thesis was on the connection between poor agility of a cell and the etiology of autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus, where the immune system attacks its own body. One of his biggest contribution was discovering the disrupted signaling axis in lupus-- from B cell to macrophage to mechanosensing signaling which was published onThe Journal of clinical Investigation(H Li et al. 2015), one of the top journals in the “Medicine, Research & Experimental” category accompanied by a commentary in the same issue. In 2014, he moved to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, working with Dr. George Tsokos, one of the most Influential Rheumatologist in the World and keep making important contributions to the study of SLE. In the past 5 years, he published extensively in a series top journals including Nature communication, PNAS and Arthritis & Rheumatism etc.
