Biography

Hootan Zirakzadeh is a well-known researcher in the fields of Thermal-Fluid Sciences and Design Engineering at Texas A&M University. He has dual Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Tehran, IRAN and Texas A&M University, USA. He has published several papers which gained notable world-wide attention and ranked on the Top 25 Hottest articles of Elsevier continuously for long periods of time. The results of his research have been used by many other scientists at different institutes and different projects, globally. He has conducted and been involved on several projects sponsored by companies such as Siemens, Solar Turbines, and Samsung Techwin. He also has served as a lecturer of different courses at Texas A&M University and Azad University of Parand. He is a recipient of Graduate Student Competitive Scholarship Award from Texas A&M University. After years of experience, he has become a trusted reviewer of several Elsevier and ASME journals, and an editorial board member of “Journal of Aeronautics & Aerospace Engineering”. He is a member of some of the most remarkable honorary societies of United States such as associate member of Sigma Xi (the scientific research society), professional member of Pi Lambda Theta (the most selective national honor society of educators), member of Pi Tau Sigma (national mechanical engineering honor society), and member of Golden Key International Honor Society.

Research Interest

His research and engineering interests are focused on Design Engineering, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Nano-Fluids, Cooling of Electronic Devices, Aerodynamics ,Turbo-Machinery applications, Gas Turbine Blade Cooling, Jet Engines, Heat Sinks, Heat Exchangers, CFD, and FEA.
