Hsin-Min Lee received the BSc degree in Physical Therapy from the National Yang–Ming University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1993. Then he pursued and received the MSc and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the National Cheng–Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan in 1997 and 2002. He is currently the associate professor in physical therapy department at I-Shou University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Dr. Lee’s research interest focuses on using the knowledge and techniques of engineering to quantify the clinical phenomena (such as muscular spasticity) and to evaluate the neurophysiological effects of clinical treatment (such as massage, steering movement exercise and mirror therapy). Detection and processing for EMG and EEG signal are the core techniques in his Muscle Electrophysiological Lab. Also he has developed and held the patents of several quantitative systems (for spasticity measurement, upper limb coordination and steering movement analysis) and a digital mirror therapy system in Taiwan or USA.
