Irit Granot

Biography

Dr. Irit Granot is the head of the laboratory in the IVF Unit at the Kaplan Medical Center in Israel. She received her Ph.D. in biology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and completed her post-doctoral studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science in the field of reproductive biology.   Alongside the clinical work in the IVF unit, she directs the scientific research which is carried out in cooperation with Prof. Nava Dekel at the Weizmann Institute of Science.  She has worked in the field of the regulation of intercellular communication in the ovarian follicle and regulation of oocyte maturation. For the last several years, the research has been focused on endometrial receptivity and implantation, and has led to the establishment of a new treatment for facilitating uterine receptivity in infertility treatments.
