Juan Diego León Peláezis a Forestry Engineer Ph D in Environmental and Agriculture Sciences of the UniversityofSalamanca, Spain. He is currently Faculty member of the Forest Sciences Department at the National University of Colombia. His main research interests are on biogeochemical cycles in terrestrial ecosystems, restoration ecology and ecosystems services.He is currently the leader of the research group in Forest Sciences belonging tothe Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation-Colciencias.
