She is the author and co-author of over 150 scientific papers. Her research interests focus primarily on the genetic molecular etiopathogenesis of auto-immune thyroid diseases including the associations between polymorphisms of genes encoding various cytokines and the susceptibility and prognosis of these diseases. She is also interested in the genetic background of abnormalities of inborn thyroid hormone biosynthesis (TG, PDS, TBG genes and others) and thyroid neoplasms. She held the post of chair at the Molecular Endocrinology section of the Polish Endocrine Society for 12 years and is a member of many national endocrine societies and also of the European Thyroid Association.
