Lloyd Reeve-Johnson

Biography

Lloyd Reeve-Johnson is Professor in the Department of Public Health and Social Sciences of the Faculty of Health at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He has held senior international research roles in academia and pharmaceutical research and development in the USA, UK and Europe and conducted research in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australia.

He is an expert in the field of Translational Medicine and One Health drawing on his knowledge of both human and animal physiology and behaviour to help apply findings and innovations across species. He has published over 150 international research papers, book chapters and provided expert opinion to governments and corporations on the efficacy and safety of over 100 pharmaceutical products.

He is committed to sustainable interventions for developing and post-conflict countries and provides advice as an independent expert working for international agencies and NGO’s.

He has been honoured for his research output and contributions through being awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Biology, UK , elected as foreign scientific correspondent by the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Spain and is a European Union Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Pharmacology. He currently divides his time between international research and a hospital based clinical role in Australia.

Research Interest

My research interests focus around modelling of disease and one health research, particularly with respect to understanding the implications of disease epidemiology and treatment across different animal physiology. I am both a doctor and veterinarian with over twenty years of working across species and applying outcomes across species. I also have a particular interest in practical and sustainable solutions aimed at developing and post-conflict countries including ATSD and PTSD.
