M. Ramulu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with distinction in 1974 from the Osmania University, India, Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Production Engineering in 1976 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 1982 from the University of Washington. He received many accolades both in teaching and research including Presidential Young Investigator Award.
His research interests have been in the area of fracture mechanics &fatigue, composite materials, and advanced manufacturing processes. He has published more than 300 technical papers covering these fields in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He is a Fellow of ASME, SEM, ASM International and SME.
