Biography

Manfred Binder received his PhD from the University of Regensburg (Germany) in 2000. He accepted a Research Scientist position in the Biology Department at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 2012, he moved to the Netherlands to join the CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre in Utrecht.

Research Interest

Molecular systematics and evolution of mushroom-forming fungi and their global biodiversity; character evolution in ecology and morphology;comparative genomics and phylogenomics.
