Masanori Yamaguchi is Associate Professor of the Faculty of Education, Wakayama University. He received his Ph. D. from the Faculty of Agriculture, Gifu University, in 2004 for studies on the organic synthesis of selectin ligands. In 2008 he became a member of the Faculty of Education, Wakayama University and became Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in 2010. He served as one of the managers of The Chemical Society of Japan. He served as a reviewer of peer reviewed journals in the area of glycobiology and bio-organic chemistry.
Synthetic approach toward the biologically active carbohydrates, focusing on problems in glycobiology related to viral infection, cancer, immune response, etc, and applications in medicinal chemistry.
