Biography

"Min Wu, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Program Dr. Wu is interested in host-pathogen interactions, particularly innate immunity against bacterial (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) infection in the lung. He has authored close to one hundred publications and has made significant contributions to the understanding of macrophage phagocytosis processes as regulated by lipid rafts and signalling proteins such as Lyn and caveolin 1. Dr. Wu completed his Ph.D. in drug delivery with virus-like particles at Leeds University (lately growing interest in nanoparticle-mediated imaging and therapy) and fulfilled his postdoctoral research on DNA repair mechanisms in oxidative lung injury and chronic inflammatory diseases in Indiana University. In 2003, Dr. Wu joined the faculty in the Department of Biochemistry & Mol Biol, School of Medicine and Health Science University of North Dakota. He holds editorial board-membership with several journals, including roles as special associate editor for Nanomedicine Nanotechnology and Biology (Elsevier), Editor-in-chief for Open Access Immunology - Publishing London, and Academic editor for PLOS ONE "
