Moorthy P.PonnuswamyDepartyment of Biochemistry and MolecularBiologyUniversitry of Nebraska medical centreOmahaUSA    "Moorthy P.Ponnuswamy received a Ph.D in biochemistry from university of Madras,Chennai,India in 2001-2005.He has completed his B.Sc and M.Scin Biochemistry from Bharathyadasan University,Trichy,India(1996-2001).He has received post doctoral fellowship from Susan G Komen foundation and because of its noveltythis project was selected for additional founds(2008) from Nebraka affliate Susan G Komen foundation.He has also received Postdoctoral Scholar Year Award (2010) and three times (FYs2007-2009) best performance stipend award from University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Omaha, NE. He is serving as reviewers for Journal of Ovarian research and Springer science press, NY, USA. He has published fourteen manuscripts and two book chapters. 
 

Research Interest

1.Diagnostic and Prognostic marker identification in both ovarian and pancreatic cancer. 2.Novel therapeutic target for breast cancer. 3.Embryonic stemcells. 4.Induced pluripotent stem cells (ips). 5.Regenerative medicine. 6.Caner stemcells.
