Biography

Dr O J Ebohon is a Reader in Energy, Sustainability, and Development. His teaching and research interests are in the fields of energy, sustainability, and development, built environment economics and finance, institutions and the process of construction industry development, globalisation and built and natural environment issues, management and efficiency drive in the construction and production processes, housing and urban development in developing countries, technology transfer, and construction multinationals.
He has published widely and contributed papers to international conferences and seminars in these fields, especially with regards to sub-Sahara Africa. He is currently supervising a number of higher degree candidates on different built environment and sustainability related topics.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a member of several professional bodies, including the South African Institute of Building (incorporated by CIOB), International Society of Ecological Economics, African Society of Ecological Economics, and the Energy Institute. He maintains a strong links with educational institutions, academics and practitioners in the developing countries.
