Biography

I am working as Senior Registrar in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dunedin Hospital, New Zealand and as Clinical Lecturer in  University of Western Australia. I have done my MBBS in Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla, India. MS, General Surgery in Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, India. MCh, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, Diplomate of National Board (DNB), Cardiothoracic Surgery, New Delhi, India, December. Member National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS), New Delhi, India.  PhD, University of Western Australia, September, 2010. My thesis topic is “Systemic response to local ischaemia: The evolving concept of remote ischaemic preconditioning”.

Research Interest

Coronary artery surgery, Valve repair techniques, Adult congenital cardiac surgery, Cardiothoracic transplantation, Academic surgery and Applications of remote ischaemic preconditioning in cardiovascular surgery.
