Biography

Dr. Peggy Lo Pik Kwan is an Assistant Professor in Department of Biology and Chemistry at City University of Hong Kong. She is one of core members of the Key Laboratory of Biochip Technology, Biotech and Health Centre at Shenzhen Research Institute of City University of Hong Kong. Dr Peggy received her B.Sc (2004) and M.Phil. (2006) from Hong Kong Baptist University. In 2010, she obtained a Ph.D. in DNA Chemistry from McGill University in Canada. She then moved to the United States for her postdoctoral research in Harvard University. She received the Governor General’s Gold Medal in the Physical Sciences in 2011, the Carl A. Winkler Award in 2010 and the Macromolecular Sciences and Engineering Division of the CSC Award in Polymer Science across Canada in 2010. Dr Peggy Lo’s research focuses on analysis of toxic nanomaterials, chemical biology and cell biology. Her scientific findings have been led to the publication in the highly prestigious international journals including Nature, Nature Chemistry, Nature Nanotechnology, Journal of American Chemistry Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, etc.
