Dr.Rajakumar Mandraju finished his PhD in Biochemistry from University of Hyderabad. Where he studied the role of Topoisomerase II in HIV-1 induced Neuro-inflammation. Then he moved to The Rockefeller University, New York to work with AIDS and malaria vaccine development program. Currently he is working as a postdoctoral research scientist at the department of Immunology, UT Southwestern Medical center.

Research Interest

Host pathogen interactions and innate recognition of bacterial and viral pathogens. Understanding the crosstalk between innate and adaptive immune response to mount long lasting memory responses to different infections and vaccine development.
