My study has been totally researched in physiological and biochemical adaptation of cardiac and skeletal muscles to a new environment. First of all, Human Adaptability in measuring aerobic work capacity on migrant Japanese to America was evaluated(5th General Assembly of the International Biological Programme (IBP) (Seattle,U.S.A., 1972). The result was that a new environment has an important role of changes in morphology and function in humans (Human Biol. 1974, JIBP SYNTHESIS, 1975.
I have been studied Biochemical Adaptation of Skeletal Muscle to Hypoxia and Exercise. The main finding was that hypoxia induced muscle fiber transition from slow to fast twitch fiber (Shinshu University Press,1988, Neurochem Res., 1990, Brain Res Bull, 1990, Neurosci Lett, 1991, Aviat Space Environ Med, 1992, Comp Bichem Physiol., 2003, 2004, J Anat, 1992).
In regard to Cardiac Adaptation, it was studied on exercise response which exercise indicated improvement in metabolism following myocardial infarction( Jpn Circ J, 2001,, J Nucl Cardiol, 2001, J Appl Physiol, 2004, , Jpn J.Physiol,2005).
Muscle Adaptation to Physical Training was also studied related to muscle fiber property and motor neuron, and muscle atrophy( Euro J Appl Physiol, 1987, Eur J Appl Physiol Occup Physiol, 1990, Acta Physiol Scand, 1990, Jpn J Physiol, 1991, Acta Physiol Scand, 1991, Neuorobiol Aging, 1993, J Physiol, 2005, Acta Physiol(Oxf), 2009, Exp Gerontol, 2009, Biol Pharm Bull, 2014, SpringPlus 2015).
