Dr. Shumin Wang received the B.S. degree in physics from Qingdao University in 1995, the M.S. degree in electronics from Peking University in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, in 2003. From 2005 to 2010, he was a staff scientist at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stokes, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. He has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, since 2011. His main research interests include radio-frequency (RF) coil design and RF safety for high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MRI image processing and advanced computational techniques for MRI.
