After obtaining undergraduate degree at Imperial College, University of London, UK, He continued his PhD training at University of Dundee, UK. Then, He had his postdoctoral training in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Hong Kong. Since 2007, He has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy, The University of Hong Kong.

Research Interest

His research focus on the study of the molecular mechanisms that lead to cancer formation and metastasis. Particularly, we are interested in how the dysregulation of Rho GTPase pathways contributes to the pathogenesis of liver cancer. Recently, They found that centrosome overduplication plays an important role in HTLV-I virus-mediated adult T-cell leukaemia. Thus we would like to understand further how centrosome overduplication contributes to the development of other cancers.
