Dr. Xiaofeng Yang received his PhD in chemistry in 2002 from Xiamen University, working under the supervision of Prof. Xiangqun Guo. He spent the following two years as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of professor Hua Li in Analytical Sciences, Northwest University and then joined the faculty at Northwest University as an associate professor in 2004. He was a visiting professor at Portland State University in the lab of professor Robert M. Strongin from 2010 to 2011. His current research interest is mainly concentrated on organic chemistry with biomedical and related materials applications, new chromophore materials and probe design and chemosensing.
