Biography

Dr. Xin-Gui Li is currently working as a Professor at Tongji Unversity, He had done his PhD at China Textile University, Shanghai (Currently: Donghua
University), one of the national key universities in China on Polymer Materials. He has published many articles in various national and international journals.

Research Interest

1.Nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanorods, nanofibers, nanocomposites), fluorescent
chemosensors, heavy-metal(Ag+, Pb2+, Hg2+) ion sorbents, and ion-selective electrodes of
intrinsically electrically conducting/conjugated polymers from aniline, pyrrole, thiophene,
pyrene, triphenylene, and their derivatives
2. Water treatment and purification, Separation membrane science
3. Synthesis of functional polymers
4. Liquid-crystalline aromatic polyesters and cholesteric cellulose derivatives.
