Brest University Medical School

Dr. Renaudineau's research interests include the role of B cells in the pathophysiology of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), with a special focus on DNA methylation, calcium flux, and CD5 molecule due to their interconnections. As part of the research group INSERM ERI29/EA2216 Laboratory of Immunotherapy and B cell pathologies, Brest University Medical School in France, he has been one of the pioneers to consider the importance of DNA methylation in SLE B cells and pSS epithelial cells, and the key role played by the CD5 molecules in epigenetics, Ca2+ flux dysregulation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. His research group currently focuses on the investigation of regulatory epigenetics, calcium flux, B cell functions and the effects of B cell therapies on these processes. Dr. Renaudineau is full Professor of Immunology, PharmD, PhD, at the head of the clinical laboratory of Immunology and Immunotherapy at Brest University medical school and has published more than 100 original papers in leading journals such as Blood, Cancer Research, Arthritis Rheum, J Immunol, J Autoimmun, etc (H index = 30). He serves on various editorial boards and grant review committees.
