Research Interest

My research focuses on hormonal and ion channels regulation of corneal wound healing and development. Specifically, I investigate the localization, activation, cell signaling of growth factors (EGF, NGF, VEGF) and ion channels/transporters (TRP channel, KCC, NKCC transporters) during corneal wounding, and their impacts on wound recovery including cell proliferation, migration, ocular surface inflammation, neurogenesis. The main goal is to develop therapeutic approaches to enhance corneal wound recovery and to reduce associated ocular complications.
