Dr. Zhang Xi was born in Sep 25, 1960 in Tianjin in China. He got Master Degree in The Fourth Military Medical University in 1984 and was awarded PhD in Neurology in Peking Union Medical University in 2002. He is professor of Geriatric Neurology and Director of Sleep Medicine Research Centre of Chinese PLA General Hospital. He is a supervisor for PhD & Master student of Chinese PLA General Hospital and a tutor for Master degree of Nan Kai University. Using structural MRI, functional MRI, PET-CT and event-related potentials, he has been engaged in pathophysiological research in sleep disorders and early biomarker of neurodegenerative diseases. Some of his research papers have been published in international journals such as Sleep Medicine, Clinical Neurophysiology, Experimental Brain Research, Neuroscience Lett and NeuroImage etc. He is a Executive director of Chinese Sleep Research Society (CSRS) and vice chairman of Sleep Disorder Committee of CSRS.
Dr. Zhang Xi research intrests are centered on Pathophysiological research in sleep disorders and early biomarker of neurodegenerative diseases, Sleep Medicine, Clinical Neurophysiology, Experimental Brain Research, Neuroscience Lett, and NeuroImage etc.
