Dr. Zhihong Nie received his M.Sc. degree in Polymer Physics and Chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China). He did his Ph.D. research in Polymer Materials and Chemistry Winnik in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto (Canada). In 2008-2010, Zhihong Nie was a NSERC postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor George M. Whitesides at Harvard University. His research was focused on soft materials and medical diagnostics. In 2011, Zhihong Nie joined the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park as an Assistant Professor.
