Dr. Devaiah Damma is doing Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering and Applied Science University of Cincinnati, USA. He is Experienced in design and synthesis of various nanostructured metal oxide and mixed metal oxide catalysts by using different chemical and physical methods. Experienced in various catalyst characterization techniques: Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectroscopy, BET Surface Area, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), UV-visible Spectroscopy (UV-vis), Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS), Temperature Programmed Reduction/Desorption (TPR/TPD), Thermogravimetric Analysis/Differential Thermal Analysis (TGA/DTA), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Mössbauer Spectroscopy, and FT–IR spectroscopy. Catalytic Reactions Studied: Syngas to oxygenates at high pressure conditions; Water-gas shift reaction at atmospheric and high pressure (>20 bars) conditions for H2 Production; Nitrogen oxides abatement catalytic reactions for the reduction of NOx in both automobile and stationary industrial applications; CO and Soot oxidations for the protection of environment; Hydrogenolysis of glycerol and hydrogenation of levulinic acid for the production of value-added chemicals. Experienced on Construction and Operation of High Pressure Catalytic Set-ups. Good analytical skills and have expertise working with GC, GC-MS, and Mass Spectrometry. Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
