Biography

Karan Veer worked in Bio-Medical Instrumentation group at the CSIR-CSIO on joint project with Thapar University. My approach of Bio-Medical Engineering at CSIO covers the whole gamut of development of Prosthetic devices.

University departmental topper during M.Tech course at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (2006 - 2008)

Since January 2011, I have been engaged in Research & Development activities. My professional journey can be categorised as follows:

a) Worked towards the development of Bio-Medical Instrumentation, my contribution was for the development of:

Myoelectric Arm: Above Elbow - These are artificial electronic arms for upper limb amputees. These arms make use of electromyogram signal available from the residual stump of the amputee to open and close the hand. The force of grip on the object varies itself according to the weight of the object. The elbow joint of Above-elbow version
