Biography

Magdalena Jablonska-Czapla is a doctor of chemical sciences (2006) and a habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the field of environmental engineering (2016). Over the years, her scientific interest has been broad. During her studies at the Silesian University in Katowice, they focused on issues of molecular and atomic spectroscopy. After hiring at the Institute of Environmental Engineering (2006), she has conducted environmental studies using spectroscopic techniques such as EDXRF and ICP-MS.

Research Interest

Her research interests include transformations and mobility of metals / metalloids and their specialties in the environment. The main fields of research included ground and surface waters, bottom sediments, soils, plants using analytical techniques like EDXRF, ICP-MS and combined HPLC-ICP-MS. The research covered the area around inactive waste dumps after the exploitation of hard coal, water reservoirs or rivers of Upper Silesia. In her work she focused on the problems of fractionation and speciation of ionic forms of selected metals / metaloids in various elements of the environment.
