She has been actively involved in research concerning Osteogenesis Imperfecta for over 25 years She has been collaborating with bone endocrinologists in the search for new genetic markers of osteoporosis in Italian families She has been involved in investigations concerning LCT gene polymorphisms (population genetics studies) She is presently collaborating with cell biologists, bone endocrinologists and molecular biologists in studies focusing on bone mineralization defects She is a member of the International Consortium for Osteogenesis Imperfecta She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian OI Association (AsItOI).
