Biography

Dr. Faisal Zaidi is currently the assistant professor in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University of Health Sciences, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Makkah Highway, Jeddah. He completed his Ph.D from University of Toyama, at the year 2009 in department of Pharmacology, (Gastrointestinal Disorders). He received young investigator award in 10th Japan-Korea joint symposium, Seoul, Korea (June 2013). Dr Zaidi has also received several grants and is also serving as principal investigators. He has also patented the Anti-Helicobacter pylori agents.He is serving as a member of American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, USA; International Society of Ethnopharmacology, USA; Japanese Society for Helicobacter Research, Japan and many more. He is also the editorial board member of Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and hasbeen reviewers for journals like Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, European Journal of Integrative Medicine, BMC complementary & Alternative Medicine, Medicinal Chemistry etc. He has also done more than 20 publications

Research Interest

Neuro-immune crosstalk in colitis and food allergy invivo and invitro models: Mechanism and role of mucosal mast cells/closely related nerves in colitis and food allergy Also involved in search for novel inhibitors of mucosal type mast cell degranulation from natural source.
