Journal of Theoretical and Computational Science: Open Access is a bimonthly, international journal, publishing papers from any area of science with great potential impact and whose importance extends well beyond the confines of the specific discipline concerned. The journal publishes Reviews, Research articles, Short Communications, Mini reviews, as well as a broad range of informal material in the form of Editorials, Correspondence, Opinion, e-Books, news and views, feature articles, including current affairs, funding, business, and research breakthroughs. As it is an open access journal, most important articles are intended to make papers understandable to scientists in other fields and the educated general public. The journal also publishes regular supplements, including Insights, Outlooks and Technology Features. OMICS group publishes information, in Open Access format, which has been encouraging for many upcoming scientists, students and aspiring researchers.
Journal of Theoretical and Computational Science: Open Access coverage includes three major areas computational chemistry, computational biology and computational physics and it’s application to drug discovery, toxicology, bioinformatics, materials design, and nanotechnology.
• The other broad area includes:
• Molecular modeling, simulations, quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics, statistical mechanics
• Algorithms development
• Method development
• Software & IT development
• Materials design
• Chemo Informatics
• Computational biology
• Systems biology, network biology & clinical informatics
• High Performance Computing (HPC)
Journal of Theoretical and Computational Science: Open Access is under the editorial leadership of Editor-in-Chief Dr. Sivanesan Dakshanamurthy, PhD, Associate Professor, Georgetown University Medical Center, USA. Dr. Dakshanamurthy is also the founding Editor of the journal. The journal has about 25 renowned scientists as Editors and is now in the phase of making a mark of its own in the field by publishing recent technologies, inventions, discoveries and dissipates them to scientific society through the most effective platform- Internet without any subscription thus facilitates the global exchange of knowledge.
The journal attracts audience from diverse fields including: Computational Chemistry, Computer Aided Drug Design, Theory & Practice, Theoretical Chemistry & Biology, Information Science, Network Theory & Pharmacology, Software Development & Technology, Computational Modeling & Simulations, Chemical Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Computational Organic- and Medicinal Chemistry, Mathematical Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Nanotechnology, Computational Neuroscience, Synthetic Biology, and Toxicology.
Each article published in the journal would be initially evaluated by an Editor and then some manuscripts may be rejected at this stage if they are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal. Those manuscripts that meet these minimum criteria are sent on to experts for review. Each manuscript would be reviewed by at least two reviewers who will be either Journal Editor’s or experts in the field. Once the reviewer comments are Received the Editor re-evaluates the reviewer’s comments and a final decision to accept or reject; the manuscript containing any recommendations made by the reviewers, and or the Editor, will be sent to the authors for revision.
