Victor has over 20 years’ experience on epidemiological research of which 12 are within the pharmaceutical industry. He holds Master degrees in both Operational Research (MSc) and Public Health (MPH), as well as a doctorate (PhD) in Statistical Epidemiology He has collaborated with some of the notable Key Opinion Leaders in Europe and North America, especially in the respiratory therapeutic area which have resulted in a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has been a member of both the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) for a number of years. He is also a member of the International Societies of PharmacoEpidemiology (ISPE), Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), the Society of Social Medicine (SSM) as well as the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and has conducted workshops on PharmacoEpidemiology at international conferences, notably ISPE (2004 & 2005), ISPOR (2003, 2007, 2008 & 2010) and SSM (2009). He is a reviewer for a number of scientific journals and on the editorial boards of two- one of which he heads. In 2005, Victor won the Exceptional Science award at GlaxoSmithKline Research & Development for designing and implementing an innovative method for the assessment of comorbidity profiles and influences in chronic diseases. Professor Kiri, who is a Chartered Scientist- in recognition of his methodological expertise in observational studies by the UK Science Council- is also a Chartered Statistician and fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. He has previously served as consultant to the UK Department of Health on health outcomes for over fifteen years. He currently also serves as an independent Research Grant Assessor for the UK Medicines Research Council and is listed in the annual volumes of Who’s who in Medicine & Healthcare as a thought leader in PharmacoEpidemiology and biostatistics.
