Dr. Miguel Acevedo is a Chilean Physician, who obtained his medical degree at Universidad de Chile, where later also studied Public Health Magister oriented to Epidemiology. Some years later studied Ergonomics, obtaining a Diploma at Universidad de Valparaiso, and a Specialist grade at Inermep (Spain). Served as Medical Director at Puerto Aysén Hospital, located in the southern Chile, and from 1996 put his professional focus on Occupational Health, working as Occupational Health Physician at Instituto de Seguridad del Trabajo. In this role, his main responsability is giving consultancy and advice in preventive health and Ergonomics issues, to a variety of business and clients, in the field, with identification and control of risks factors, developing healthy work environments, and promoting well-being and productivity.

Faramarz Helali is Technology Ph.D., Human Work Science and Engeering Licentiate , Industrial Ergonomics at Luleå University of Technology, and also, M.Sc. and B.Sc. Industrial Management in Iran. He has more than 18 years active career as industrial manager, and also over 19 years ergonomics and Human Factors research study, training and learning as well as different action research-types intervention in an Industrially Developing Country with its reflection practices to IDCs.

He also played a key role in the establishment of the Ergonomics Society in Iran. He was the first Vice President Iranian Ergonomics Society (IES) that it has established in the pre-intervention phase of his Ergonomics Intervention Programme since 2001. Helali’s consideration and contribution is ergonomics as software technology, technique, ‘Know-How’ transfer that it has potential challenging in IDCs. He has investigated and mentioned ‘what are challenges?’ ‘What are adjustments?’ And also what are development and testing of systematic techniques for ergonomic intervention in the IDC and the further research study? Dr. In-Ju Kim is an Assistant Professor and research coordinator of the Department of Physical Therapy at University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Kim received his PhD from the University of Sydney, Australia and had worked several Universities and research institutes in Australia, the UK and the USA. He is also an industry consultants in the areas of slips, trips and falls, occupational safety and injury prevention. Dr. Kim’s teaching and research expertise are in the areas of ergonomics, biomechanics, occupational safety, and sports injury prevention. He is a research unit leader of virtual reality laboratory and developing research projects on the areas of virtual reality based rehabilitation science and human performance technology. He is also a co-leader of sports injury surveillance and prevention research unit and developing research project on national sports injury surveillance and prevention system. His publications and presentation were in the areas of slip, trip and fall incidents, construction industry safety and injury prevention.
