Biography

Dr. Byong Yong Yi joined the Department of Raidaiton Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as an associate Professor and clinical director of the Physics Division in 2005, after 16-years of service as a Chief Medical Physicist and Professor of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Asan Medical Center and University of Ulsan School of Medicine in Seoul Korea. Dr. Yi earned his doctoral degree in physics at Yonsei University in Seoul Korea. He obtained clinical training as a medical physicist at Hanyang University, 1987-1989. He has been certified by the medical physics boards, the Korean Board of Medical Physics in 1993 and the American Board of Radiology in 2008. He found the Medical Physics Residency Program at University of Maryland Medical System, which has been accreditted by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Program (CAMPEP) and had served as a director, 2012-2016.

Biography

Libo Chen is working at Department of Nuclear Medicine in Shanghai Sixth Peoples Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.

Biography

Dr. Arif Sheikh, MD was educated at the University of Michigan, and got his medical education at Wayne State Medical School in Detroit, Michigan. He then did his Internship and Residency Training in Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Subsequently, he did his Nuclear Medicine Residency and Fellowship at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Dr. Sheikh has practiced as an Internist, but went on to become an Assistant Professor of Radiology in Nuclear Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he served as the Director of Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine and Targeted Radionuclide Therapies, as well as faculty in the Department of Neurology in the epilsepy imaging program. He moved to Columbia University in New York as an Associate Professor of Radiology, where he became the Director of Nuclear Medicine. Currently, he is at Temple University as Professor of Radiology, and is Co-director of Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine. He is Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology, and has also received Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sheikh’s interests are in areas of Theranostics, and Molecular Imaging in Neurology and Cardiology. He has deep clinical experience in these areas, and has performed research in looking at image based dosimetry with I-124 in Thyroid Cancer, and clinical trials with novel Radionuclide Therapeutics in Pancreatic and Prostate Cancers. He also published papers with PET-MR, including in Neurology, and participated in Cardiac Nuclear Imaging clinical trials, amongst other interests.

Biography

Pedro M. Gonçalves Pereira was born in Lisbon (February 10, 1968). Currently works has Neuroradiologist at Hospital Fernando Fonseca, Spine and Artro Interventionist at PainCare, Head Neuroradiology at SCM-Benavente and assists Hospitals and Clinics with teleradiology. Between 2013 and 2017 was assigned Head of Neuroradiology at Hospital Vila Franca Xira / José Melo Saude (a 4-year appointment to set-up in-patient, out-patient workflow, and the emergency response by teleradiology). Between 2007 and 2018 was Neuroradiologist at Hospital dos Lusiadas. He his Professor of Neuroimaging at the University of Algarve Medical Faculty (University Core Professors), and Professor (Pathology of the CNS, and Neurosciences) at the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute (University Personal Page). He is registered as full-member of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRBM) and Board Member of the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS). He his entrepreneur and CEO of a neuroimaging company, dedicated to clinical diagnosis and research.
