Angina is defined as chest pain which is caused due to reduced blood flow to heart muscle. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease. It is also known as Angina Pectoris. It leads to severe chest pain or discomfort in chest and sometimes breathing problems also occurs. Symptoms of Angina; Symptoms of Angina are nausea, fatigue, sweating, dizziness, shortness of breath, severe body pains.
Types of Angina:Stable Angina: It is triggered by physical exertion, it occurs when we climb stairs or heavy exercise or walk, if heart does not gets enough blood, emotional stress, cold temperature, arteries will get narrow in angina condition.Unstable Angina: It is caused due to blood clots, heart attacks takes place, Tests and Diagnosis: There are different types of tests for Angina they are Electrocardiogram, Stress test, Echocardiogram, Nuclear stress test, chest X-ray, Blood test, Coronary angiography and cardiac computerised tomography scan.
Treatment for Angina: Angina can be treated by using different types of medicaments they are nitrates, aspirin, clot-preventing drugs, β blockers, statins, calcium channel blockers etc. Statistics: In India, out of 1, 065,070,607 population the people affected by Angina are 25,060,485. It shows the rapid influence of disease in France. Angina is cardiovascular disease so sometimes it may leads to death.
