Conjunctivitis is an eye infection in which conjunctiva, a layer of eye infected due to some allergic agents or pathogenic agents. The common symptom associated with conjunctivitis is redness of the eye ball and eyelid swelling. There are viral as well as bacterial conjunctivitis where in adenoviruses and staphylococci are the causative agents. The blood vessels in the eyeball become swollen.
