Materials Science-2012 Report
The International Conference and Expo on Materials Science & Engineering, hosted by the OMICS Group. It was held during October 22-24, 2012 at DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago-North Shore, USA. Generous response and active participation was received from the Editorial Board Members of OMICS Group Journals as well as from scientists, researchers and leaders from government organizations, students who made this conference as one of most successful and productive events in 2012 from OMICS Group.
The conference was carried out through various sessions, in which the discussions were held on the following scientific tracks
- Track 1: Nanotechnology & Nanoscience
- Track 2: Materials Science & Engineering
- Track 3: Biomaterials & Biomedical Materials
- Track 4: Biophysics & Systems Biology
- Track 5: Engineering Physics
- Track 6: Atomic and Nuclear Physics
- Track 7: Optics
- Track 8: Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos
- Track 9: Advances in Instrumentation and Techniques
The response to the International Conference and Expo on Materials Science & Engineering was huge and was attended by about 200 delegates representing 30 countries from different corners of the world.
The conference was initiated with a series of invited lectures delivered by both Honorable Guests and members of the keynote forum. The list included Guy M. Genin, Washington University, USA; Alex V. Vasenkov, CFD Research Corporation, USA; Stephen J Beebe, Old Dominion University, USA.
All the above mentioned Honorable Guests and keynote speakers gave their energetic and fruitful contributions at Materials Science-2012.
All accepted abstracts have been indexed in OMICS Group Journal of Material Sciences & Engineering as a special issue. The theme of this Conference was on “Exploring New Frontiers and Innovations in Materials Science". Based on this, speaker's discussions included many recommendations.
We are also obliged to various outside experts, company representatives and other eminent personalities who supported the conference by facilitating the discussion forums. Our sincere thanks to Organizing Committee Members for their gracious presence, support and assistance towards Materials Science-2012, and with their unique feedback, OMICS Group would like to announce the "2nd International Conference and Expo on Materials Science & Engineering" to be held at Hampton Inn Tropicana, Las Vegas, USA during October 07-09, 2013.
