Cancer starts when cells begin to grow out of control. Cells in nearly any part of the body can become cancer, and can spread to other areas of the body. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in the cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells that can grow into surrounding tissues or spread to distant areas of the body. The disease occurs almost entirely in women when compare to men.

There are several treatment available for breast cancer. Some are as follows: Adjuvant hormone therapy: tamoxifen is used (as in women) and improves survival. Adjuvant local radiotherapy or post-mastectomy. Regional lymph nodes may also be treated with radiotherapy. Chemotherapy: regimens using cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, doxorubicin, 5-fluorouracil and taxanes (paclitaxel, docetaxel) have been used with improved survival rates.
