     Kawasaki disease (KD) very frequently affects infants and young children under the age of 5 years. The disease is considered to be a kind of systemic vasculitis syndrome, and primarily invades the medium-sized muscular arteries and also including coronary arteries. 

  • Kawasaki disease

    The symptoms of the disease includes fever lasting at least 5 days, Red eyes, body rash, Swollen, red, cracked lips, tongue, red feet and hands. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck. Average annual incidence rates per 100,000 children aged <5 years were 5.4. The incidence of this disease is lower in Norway than in the other countries.
